Roof repairs:

A lot of my work revolves around replacing broken tiles/slates and replacing hip and ridge tiles that are prone to damage through frost, poor mortar application or simply age, (most hips and ridges  should last 50 years but the mortar can show signs of blowing within 20-25 years, sometimes sooner if poorly constructed).

Other aspect of my work is replacing and re-pointing lead flashing, replacing soffits, fascia’s and gutters. Most fascia damage comes from gutters becoming blocked and the rain water damaging the timber. (This is another reason to keep up with the maintenance like clearing gutters regularly).

Damage can be done to your internal decoration, electrics and roof battens/rafters etc through damaged hips and ridges and poor lead-work, keeping your roof water tight is obviously a priority and will save more costly work in the future.
